DAYS LIKE THESE…

Moments for eternity. Moments of joy and emotions. Just like those that happened on Mai 19th 2018.

We are in Berlin, former airport of Tempelhof, at the seasonal race number nine of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2017/2018. Feels like a home race. A race for the only German team at the starting field, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler and Daniel Abt, its pilot from the Allgäu. But it also is a home race for Schaeffler, the exclusive technology-partner of the team. The expectations are high. But the chances to reach something very special are just alike. Abt and his Brazilian team colleague Lucas di Grassi both are in good trim. The German celebrated his first ever Formula E-victory in Mexico four races ahead while the defending champion di Grassi made it to the second place during the last three races.

You can’t wish for anything more

During the cheers of thousands of enthusiastic viewers, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler leaves no doubt about their role as the favorite. Daniel Abt saved the second Formula-E-pole-position of his whole career during qualifying. Lucas di Grassi tackles the Berlin E-Prix from the fifth position. After the start, Abt takes the lead, di Grassi is working his way through the field. He managed to make it to the second position at the twelfth round, right behind Abt. Both Schaeffler-pilots manage to keep their positions parallel and celebrate a double victory at the finish line. Abt additionally drives the fastest race of all pilots. With a total of 47 points, the team reaches the maximum yield. No other team has ever succeeded a comparable feat in the history of Formula-E.
