Improving the handling by reducing roll tilt and understeering can be achieved with adding ABT anti-roll bars. Constructed from high-tensile steel with forged ends the ABT stabilizers increase torsional rigidity compared to the series stabilizers by approx. 36% on the front axle and 20% on the rear axle. Better grip can be achieved with either ABT suspension springs or for the more race-oriented drivers with a ABT coilover suspension. The ABT suspension springs bring the RS 3 approx. 0.98-1.18 inches (25-30mm) closer to the ground while the ABT coilovers allow for a lowering of up to 1.77 inch (45 mm) on both axles.
From the factory the RS 3 is outfitted with 19” rims but with ABT the fiery sedan can achieve a more striking appearance with ABT sport GR20 wheels in glossy black. The 20” ABT wheels come in a staggered fitment with 9x20 on the front axle and 8.5x20 on the rear axle.
RS models always receive the luxury treatment from ABT Sportsline when it comes to the interior and the RS 3 is no different. ABT carbon fiber coated dashboard covers and seat covers as well as carbon fiber paddle shifters let any passenger know that this is no off-the-rack Audi.
To make an RS 3 even more exclusive ABT offers the limited edition RS3-R. The package is limited to 200 units worldwide and consists of an extensive carbon fiber aero package, elegant HR20 forged wheels in glossy black and many more interior and exterior details. Almost the complete exterior upgrades are gloss carbon fiber: the front lip, front flics, mirror caps and rear skirt insert. Also included are fender add-ons in gloss black. The iconic sound of the 5-cylinder engine will be visually accompanied by ABT Sportsline with two double end pipes with a diameter of 3.7 inches (95 mm) made of matt black stainless steel. An emblem badge with "ABT RS3-R 1/200" inscription, special door sills and floor mats further indicate the exclusivity of the RS3-R.
